César Reveles
Spring 2016 Honoree
César Daniel Reveles was diagnosed with recurrent stage four Hodgkin’s lymphoma in March 2014 and received a bone marrow transplant in July 2015. César’s health was very fragile post-transplant. So fragile in fact, that he was 24 hours away from needing a second transplant because of unresponsive blood counts. “I’ve been through a pretty hard journey with my diagnosis,” César shared with Craig Willinger Fund board members. “I really didn’t know if I would be here to talk to you.”
As the Craig Willinger Fund’s 10th honoree, César and his cousin Luís traveled to the UEFA Champions League Final held on May 28, 2016 in Milan, Italy. This amazing trip was facilitated by Eddie Marles, Program Director of the Americas for A.C. Milan Junior Camps and by A.C. Milan. It is the first time that a Craig Willinger Fund honoree has attended the UEFA Champions League Final, one of the most prestigious club soccer events in the world.
