2nd Annual Craig Willinger FootGolf Classic to be held Sunday, July 17, 2016
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 5, 2016
BALTIMORE, MD – Join the Craig Willinger Fund (CWFund) for our 2nd annual footgolf tournament on Sunday, July 17, 2016. The Craig Willinger FootGolf Classic returns to Chesapeake Bay Golf Club in Rising Sun, Maryland, the first American FootGolf League (AFGL) accredited footgolf course in the state.
FootGolf is a combination of soccer and golf. Typically played on modified 18-hole golf courses, the goal is to kick your ball into a 21-inch hole in the fewest numbers of kicks. Courses often involve par 3, par 4, par 5 holes and feature bunkers and hazards much like traditional golf.
The day’s events include lunch, catered by Sláinte Irish Pub and Restaurant, drinks on and off the course, contests, and prizes for the top three finishing foursomes. Round trip transportation by charter bus from Baltimore to the golf course is also available on a limited basis. For further information and registration, visit www.cwfund.org.
The Craig Willinger Fund, formed in 2009, seeks to improve the lives of children and young adults stricken with cancer by providing once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to experience world-class soccer—both domestically and abroad. CWFund is actively seeking applications for future travel, as well as volunteer and community support.
